Nutrition: What’s in the plan?

Certainly, it’s shifting over from all that tend to sabotage towards fixating measures, but there’s something more: it must stop further weight gain initially and then trigger the weight-loss efforts. That’s what we call successful weight control and that nutrition is kept at the optimum is to be understood.
People mess up while setting the goals; they are either in too much hurry or are over-confident. An unrealistic diet regime is bound to clash with one’s current lifestyle, so off with the target of losing 10 pounds a month! A pound a week is a good figure and it doesn’t reflect unhealthily. Slow but steady always win the race. It applies both ways. Besides, any diet requiring radical behavioral changes bound to fail, so start cutting down on your favorite unhealthy foods one at a time. A seven-days gap must be the minimum for each.
If that makes you think you are cutting down on pizzas and sodas for the miracle diets then you are wrong; weight loss is not jumping from the frying pan and into the fire. Neither is it about fasting nor starvations, which deprive the body from food for prolonged periods and inevitable organ shutdown responses deplete the present energy reserves. The lean, muscle mass thus gets turned to glucose; though it reduces weight rapidly (the water stores being lost is also a reason), it takes you nearer to a complete system failure.
The vital organ muscle and tissues and the blood face the next chop; it is after that the fat starts getting used up, leading to ketosis (conversion of body fat to ketones, a fuel for the brain cells) and death. With low calorie diets, the process takes a little longer.
Instead, simple carbs in moderate amounts, lots of protein (tunas, hard-boiled eggs, chicken and/or lean meat), steamed and salted veggies (for the fiber) with seasonal fruits and cereals like oats provide better results, if taken with zinc supplements for a better nutrient absorption. Complex carbs (white breads, potatoes, sodas and vending machine snacks) must see the exit door, the entire family of it.
The excess protein may initiate a bit of a kidney burn (due to the high levels of nitrogen) but high water consumption (3L or more a day) takes care of that. And nothing like getting some Tribulus Terrestris; it shall fix the burn better, stimulate androgen release and shall trigger muscle growth. Being a diuretic as well, you shall rid off the body wastes, something that often makes up one-fourth of the excess weight.
